Architectural Associate

At BCS we are a group of thriving professionals committed to client relationships and a collaborative though process to deliver great work to our clients. We believe that the best outcomes are attributed to great communication, trust and teamwork and are looking for an energetic design-driven professional to join our team.

The Candidate will work directly with the Design Team on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production of construction documents as well as collaborate with our construction team to maintain an effective communication during every phase of the projects.

Your Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture with previous work experience.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in the Architectural field.
  • Experience resolving complex technical and design issues to handle multiple projects and tasks.
  • Proficiency with Revit is a requirement, AutoCad, SketchUp, 3D Modeling Software, and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills.
  • Knowledge in writing and communications skills (English and Spanish)

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Work as a key team member to develop projects from Conceptual Design all the way to completion.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
  • Assist in managing client expectations, team communication and consultant coordination. Contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programs.
  • Produce design documents from conceptual to construction documentation, graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and more.
  • Manage multiple aspects of client, project coordination, and general contractors including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants
  • Manage client relationships and team communication
  • Resolve complex technical and design issues
  • Maintain the project manual and specifications
  • Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews
  • Process submittals, RFIs, substitution requests, etc. during construction
  • Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
